Cheerleading is currently not considered a "sport" within the Minneapolis Public School district and while the SWHS Lakers cheer program receives a small amount of funding from the Southwest High School Athletic Department/MPS district and the Southwest Foundation, the majority of the costs land on our families and business sponsors in order to keep our growing program maintained.

UCA Camp (Optional but highly recommended for Competition Team) $260
Cheer Apparel: $110 for mandatory gear (if not previously ordered) + chosen options

Fall Booster Fee: $150 (Sideline and Competition Teams)
Choreographer Camp: $220 (Optional, but highly recommended for Competition Team)
Fall Sports Participation Fee: $75 to SWHS AD ($25 for those receiving Educational Benefits)

*Scholarship contract must be signed by athlete, parent, Head Coach Terry Clark, and final approval per Cheer Booster.
